WHO IS STAN?

Stone Mason

Raised in stone houses and learning from my father, a master stonemason, I've had a strong hand for stone from an early age. My name, Stanley, comes from Old English meaning 'stone field'. The craft is in my nature.

IRATA Level 1 since 2022 and I aim to reach Level 2 by the end of 2025. With around 850 hours under my harness, rope access is how I channel the climber in me — shaped by a youth spent scaling trees, rock faces, and buildings.

What is Mantodeus?

Mantodeus

The name Mantodeus is a fusion of manto and deus — mantis god. Growing up, I dreamed of becoming an entomologist. Among all arthropods, the praying mantis was my favourite: dead precise and powerfully aesthetic — a divine climber.

This phrase speaks to more than rope access. It reflects my mission to climb — not just structures, but toward mastery, ambition and personal evolution. To rise.

A Deeper Meaning

Mantodeus can also be read as man-to-deus — a journey from man to god. It reflects how we shape our worlds and are the architects of our own meaning.

My Vision

I aim to be a level 2 IRATA by the end of this year (2025) and a level 3 before the age of 30. Trained and equipped to run an elite team of tactical technicians. High-altitude precision — divine execution.

Takkataan Trades is the limited company I registered in Scotland in October 2023. Mantodeus is the new name — rebranded for success.
